Bio: Saba Vahedyousefi, born in April 2009, is a multi-talented person known for her expertise in acting and animation. Fluent in English, French and Persian, she easily navigates between languages to connect with diverse audiences. As a member of UDA, Saba has made an impact on the entertainment industry through her work as an actress, ICI Television host and the English department of Radio Canada ("CBC Kids News") as a children’s host. Saba’s journey in the spotlight began at age 7 when she first appeared on camera as a host for a children’s show on ICI Television. Her passion for the arts led her to explore theatre, with her first theatrical experience taking place in 2017. Over the years, Saba has perfected his art through various roles in short films under the direction of talented directors. In 2023, Saba took a major step forward by getting a role in the film by Matthew Rankin, showcasing his talent on the big screen and consolidating his presence in the film industry. This film is chosen in Cannes Film Festival and Saba has the experience of being on the red carpet thanks to this film. She also played the leading role in the feature film by Bashir Ben Saddek in 2024.

UNE LANGUE UNIVERSELLE avec Saba Vahedyousefi en 1er rôle fera sa première nord-américaine à la 49e édition du Festival international du film de Toronto (TIFF), qui se tiendra du 5 au 15 septembre prochain. Rappelons que le film a été présenté en première mondiale lors de la Quinzaine des Cinéastes à Cannes en mai dernier où il remportait les honneurs en étant récompensé du tout premier prix du Public de la sélection, le prix Chantal Akerman.
